You know how people say to never judge a book by its cover? I say, “Never judge a recipe by its ingredient list.” With only five ingredients, this Nutella Mousse is easy to make and tastes absolutely amazing. These little desserts can be prepped in advance, and are the perfect addition to any bridal shower or bachelorette party.
Nutella is the star ingredient, and if you’ve never tried the unbeatable flavor combination of Nutella and chocolate, you haven’t lived. Creamy, nutty, chocolaty and decadent, it’s hard not to eat Nutella by the spoonful. Add in some whipping cream and a bit o’ booze and you’ve got yourself a dessert that kicks your regular chocolate mousse to the curb.
Nutella Mousse can be served individually in little teacups or small ramekin dishes, or family-style in a larger bowl. And while this dessert may look fancy, it’s so easy to make it feels like cheating. But go ahead and let your guests think you slaved away in the kitchen for hours—it can be your own delicious little secret.
Nutella Mousse – Adapted from Food & Wine
In a medium bowl fitted with a standard or electric mixer beat the nutella with the creme fraiche and brandy at a low speed until smooth. In another small bowl, beat the heavy cream with a whisk until firm peaks appear, about 1-2 minutes. Using a spatula, fold the whipped cream into the nutella mixture until well combined. Spoon into bowls (or small teacups like we did) and garnish with whipped cream & a raspberry.
