I love the idea of serving a signature cocktail at weddings. Now that I’m a bridesmaid in my BFF’s wedding next October, I’m stealthily trying to plan how to incorporate a signature cocktail into her bachelorette, bridal shower or wedding weekend. And there is one favorite that I have in mind—because when fall starts to trickle in, I have only one request: caramel apple cider cocktails.
My family incorporated this festive drink into our fall routine when I was in high school. At that point, I was barely drinking age, but in the comfort of our home, I was allowed one caramel apple liquid treat. Once I hit 21, those things became the best part of my Thanksgiving break. Just kidding, Mom!
This caramel apple cider cocktail is bubbly, and despite what you may assume by looking at the ingredient list, not as sweet as you’d expect. Honestly, the sweetness factor depends on how much of the cider & schnapps mixture you add to each glass. I like to add just a touch of the mixture and then top it all off with champagne. Served in a champagne flute, I really can’t imagine a more perfect sip for a fall wedding. The best part? The short ingredient list makes this bad boy easy (a little too easy) to whip up. Top it with a cherry and you are good to go!
